Derek Cummings, PresidentDelivering consistent value is necessary in the retail industry, where tiny margins make a significant difference.
Retail Product Solutions (RPS) has built its reputation on this principle, helping clients optimize their operations and increase profitability through efficient retail display and racking systems. It offers a wide range of products, including gondolas, beer caves, and Q-line products, to meet the changing needs of convenience stores, grocery chains, and other retail sectors.
RPS’s approach goes beyond delivering products. It simplifies sourcing, management and installation processes, allowing clients to get all their fixtures and installations from a single, trusted partner. This cuts freight costs and streamlines the entire supply chain, making it easier for businesses to manage inventory and meet tight deadlines.
Agility and Customer-Centricity
“Our goal has always been to know our customers stores as well-if not better-than they do!” says Derek Cummings, president.
RPS is committed to its clients’ success, actively listening and investing in their needs. With a lean organizational structure, it makes decisions quickly and immediately responds to client requests. By keeping 90 percent of its inventory as no-lead-time products, RPS ensures that items are ready for immediate shipping. In an industry where delays can have cascading effects, the capacity to deliver products promptly is a significant competitive edge. Its proactive approach gives clients a crucial advantage, allowing them to maintain efficient, smooth-running stores.
RPS also provides end-to-end installation services, eliminating the complexities of store setup. Retailers can provide store drawings, and it manages everything from product selection to final installation. This “soup-to-nuts” service model enables clients to streamline store setup and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Diverse Product Offerings for Every Retail Need
RPS has steadily expanded its product offerings. The company’s flagship product, the RPS gondola line, is a versatile solution that retrofits seamlessly with existing fixtures in virtually any retail setting. Available in various sizes, heights, depths and shelving configurations, this line is always in stock and ready to ship at highly competitive national pricing. This ensures clients have immediate access to high-quality gondolas to meet urgent demands.
Building on this success, RPS introduced its Q Line product, which is rapidly becoming a staple in major convenience stores as a front-of-store essential. Offering significant value to the retail environment, the Q Line can be customized with various accessories, making it adaptable to each client’s specific requirements. As a result, retailers can optimize their checkout spaces with a consistent look that enhances customer experience and store flow.
Further elevating retail presentation, RPS’s pusher systems provide a sleek, organized method to keep products front and center on shelves. These systems help maintain a clean, inviting store environment by ensuring products are always visible and within easy reach—a strategy proven to boost sales. It also allows retailers to display more SKUs efficiently, maximizing shelf space without compromising aesthetics. Like the Gondolas and Q Line, the Pusher Systems are always maintained in inventory, enabling RPS to offer same-day shipping.
Beyond these flagship products, RPS offers a diverse catalog of fixtures, including peg tags, beer caves, and custom millwork cabinetry in wood and metal. These solutions are tailored to meet specific client needs and support unique layouts and branding requirements across various retail environments.
We don’t need to go through 15 chains of command to make a decision. We empower our people to act quickly because we trust their knowledge and judgment
RPS’s nimble approach was tested when a client undergoing a major acquisition needed to rebrand 10 stores within seven weeks. The project involved outfitting the locations with new gondolas, Q-line fixtures, pusher systems, millwork, and bathroom upgrades.
RPS fulfilled the order in less than six weeks while managing the installation using only preliminary customer drawings. Delivering multiple products in one consolidated shipment significantly reduced the client’s freight cost. The ability to execute quickly without compromising quality showcased RPS’s commitment to meeting customer needs, no matter the circumstances.
In another instance, one country’s largest convenience store chain required a complete store retrofit. It needed new gondolas and a beer cave delivered and installed, 1,200 miles away, in one day. The team acted quickly, transporting them overnight to the store, where the installation was completed within 24 hours. Its rapid response solved a pressing issue for the client and reinforced RPS’s reputation as a company that goes above and beyond to deliver results.
A Culture of Flexibility and Collaboration
RPS’s ability to deliver under pressure is not just the result of having inventory on hand; it’s a testament to the team’s expertise and culture of collaboration. It has assembled a group of specialists with deep retail industry knowledge, covering design, engineering, sourcing and logistics. The team’s cross-functional expertise allows RPS to offer solutions tailored to each client’s needs.

This expansion will bring its high-quality products and services to a broader audience.Domestically, RPS is expanding its distribution network. With its main facility in Ohio and additional locations on the East and West coasts, it is positioned to efficiently reach customers nationwide.
